This and That....

Things are going pretty good around here. We are loving the weather! Tanner has been playing outside at Abby's a lot lately and then we play some more when we get home or we go for a walk. In general, this puts Tanner in a better mood, but by about 7:00-7:30 he is wiped out and gets grumpy, but then he goes right to sleep when we put him in his crib.

I'm wanting to take some time to fix up the yard and plant some more flowers and bushes, but we tend to do this every year and it winds up costing a fortune, so I'm trying to cut it back some this year. But I did go pick up some pretty, red geraniums at St. Gregory's yesterday, so I'm going to need some other stuff to go alone with them! ;) I also just finished up my cake decorating class the other night, and I thought it was worth it. I'm by no means going to be professional at it, but I think I can do a lot better job decorating cakes for around here and maybe cupcakes, and hopefully I won't have to buy cakes for Tanner's birthday's and such, so that's worth $20!

I think it's going to be another fun weekend! Tanner's going to Grandma Bonnie's Friday while we go with Kermit and Maryann to Faucet and Saturday Mike's going to help my dad cut down trees while I might go to the Leavenworth garage sales, or maybe I'll just go here in town. Tanner is going to need lots of summer clothes if he keeps getting filthy outside like he has been lately! I guess that's expected with a boy! Then Mike and I are going to KC for a little shopping and relaxing with Tanner. Otherwise that's about it around here, it's kinda quiet for once, and I think I like it!

Tanner's New Hair Cut!

Mike took Tanner to get his hair cut today and I was a little hesitant since Mike was bound and determined to get his hair buzzed, but it turned out really cute! I can't believe how different he looks with his hair shorter!

Tanner's latest discoveries!

Tanner is finding all sorts of new things to do lately! His latest thing is trying to figure out the doggy door! He loves to go down the stairs to get to it and then sits there and plays with it for a while, trying to build the courage to go through it. He hasn't yet, but I'm sure it will be any day now, and once he does, he'll never stay inside! Here he's trying crawling through.....

So then Tanner got tired of it and went back to the old standard, playing in the dog food!

He also discovered an old friend of ours the other day.....Mr. Quackers! For those of you who don't know Mr. Quackers, Mike found him working at Hy-Vee probably close to 10 years ago, and all the guys there loved him, so he bought him for me one day and he's kind of been our little mascot around here ever since!
In other news, we went to the Dr. today in St. Joe and they decided Tanner would got tubes put in his ears May 5th. Hopefully they will take care of some of these darn ear infections! We'll keep you updated!

Easter Weekend

This past weekend was all sorts of fun and busy, busy, busy! Friday we got some stuff done around the house and then took Tanner out to my Mom and Dad's to spend the night while Mike and I went over to a friends house to play cards. Then Saturday, Mike took Tanner to the Dr. (another ear infection!) while I went to work out, and then we ran to St. Joe real quick for a few things. As soon as we got home, we went to Jeff and Noelle's little boy's 1st birthday party. Isn't Sammy too cute! We haven't got to see them forever, so it was nice to catch up some, but we couldn't stay long, since we had a dinner to go to.

Next we went to Mike's parents house for Easter dinner and hung out there for a while until Tanner got tired and we went home to bed. Then Sunday was another big day! We had a good breakfast (Thanks Mike!), then gave Tanner a bath, and hunted Easter Eggs!

Tanner did so good hunting eggs and loved putting all of them in his basket and carrying them around!
Then we had an egg hunt for the dogs. It's a tradition I started last year and they love it. They all did really good, especially Ozzy! He ran right in, found an egg, and hide with it, so he could get the treat out himself! Then later, we were down to two eggs, one for Roscoe and one for Memphis (they each get 4), when we heard Ozzy behind the couch with an egg.... It was then we figured out he had helped himself to one of Tanner's eggs from his basket. So he also got a Reece's peanut butter cup and a Hershey's kiss, aluminium foil and all!
Then we went to my Mom and Dad's for Easter dinner, and hung out there most of the day with all the girls, and had another egg hunt! Below is Tanner walking with Uncle Brian's new cane!

In the end, it was a great and exhausting weekend!!

So Tanner has finally decided to start walking!!! Yay!! He was doing a lot better last night at it and today he's going everywhere! He made it all the way from the bathroom to the recliner and has crisscrossed the living room several times! Now it will be even harder to keep track of him since he walks a lot quieter than he crawls!

Yet another crazy weekend!

So far it's been a crazy weekend yet again! Every time I think I'm going to get a relaxing weekend, I start trying to get caught up with stuff and next thing I know I'm almost caught up, but the weekends over and I'm exhausted! Mostly it's just the usual around here. Mike's started working on the yard and has been working a ton for Kermit, and I've been working out and cleaning (endless tasks!!!!) and trying to get stuff done like dentist visits, Dr. appointments, photo albums, etc. I had my post test for the New Years challenge yesterday, and supposedly I lost 7% body fat, but I don't think she did it right! ;) The good news is our team won! Yay!

Then yesterday morning Mike and I decided we were tired of my car and the lack of space in it, so we went down to Tri State Ford and worked out a deal on a used Trailblazer EXT Lt and I love it!!!! It's so much easier to put Tanner in and out of the car and I love the extra space when we have the third row folded down (Oh, and the fact that we have a third row!!) We got a pretty good deal with our trade in, so I'm happy!

So now supposedly today Mike and I are going to relax, but we'll see!

This and that....

I don't know if anyone has noticed that I'm blogging at 9 AM...well I didn't feel good at all last night, and not great this morning, so I called in sick to work. But the more I wake up the better I feel, but I don't think I should go to work and chance getting anyone sick (especially on such a nice day!) So I thought I could get a bunch of stuff caught up around here, so I'm catching up the blog! Here are a few recent pics I haven't got a chance to post yet.
