Shutdown 2010

So far we have had a pretty good shutdown! Of course, it always starts with the 4th of July. The night before the 4th, we went up to the Corning Races with Abby, Tim, and the girls, and the Prides. Tanner had both of his girlfriends there, Kenzie and Grace, so he had a ton of fun! He did not love the fireworks at the end though....I think they were a little too close and a little too scary for him! And of course Mike and I enjoyed getting out with some other adults! On the 4th, we went out to Mom and Dad's with the fam and hung there all day. The men had all 3 smokers going, and made us a ton of meat! Meanwhile, us girls made the sides and watched the kids do fireworks in between the rain showers, and sometimes while it was still raining!

Then we just tried to get caught up on some stuff around the house during the week and then on Thursday we went to Kansas City for a little mini Vacation. We took Tanner to Worlds of Fun for the first time and he LOVED it! Since it was a Thursday afternoon and cloudy out, there was hardly anyone there, so we did not have to wait in line once! Tanner rode every ride at least twice, if not more, often times just staying on it and going again! Sometimes he was the only one on the ride! It worked out perfect, I wasn't dying of heat, Tanner got to run around without us worrying about losing him, and we got to do everything we wanted! Here's the "Old Time Picture" we had done while we were there.. Then we spent the night down there, and went to Crown center the hang out the next morning. We went to the Crayola Store and got a few fun things, including Dora and Boots dolls, ate at Fritz's, and played in the fountains. Then we went down to Prenatal Imaging and had a 3D ultrasound done. Unfortunately, our little girl was sleeping and was not wanting to move around a lot, so we didn't get a ton of pics, but we did make sure she was healthy and a she!

It's been a while, again!

So it's been a very long time this time!!! We have been crazy busy around here and I have barely had time to take care of the house and hang out with Tanner, much less Blog, but it's now the last day of Shutdown and Tanner's napping, so here we go!

June was absolutely nuts! Mike's little brother Matt got married to the love of his life, Bailey! Mike was the best man, I was the Matron of Honor, and Tanner was the ring bearer, so we had lots to do! We had Bailey's Shower at the end of May and then the Bach. parties were at the beginning of June, the day Matt finally got to come home from California! So between planning a shower, two Bach. parties, and helping with the wedding, we stayed plenty busy! Then once the wedding was over, they had about a week before they had to move to South Carolina, so we tried our best to help them out and spend as much time with them as we could! Here are a few pics....

Then we just had a lot of other little things going on and I caught a small stomach bug in there too, so that slowed me down a lot! And, of course, it's summer, so all Tanner wants to do is go outside and play, and he thinks we need to go out and play too! Here's a couple pics of our play time!
