Yet another crazy weekend!

So far it's been a crazy weekend yet again! Every time I think I'm going to get a relaxing weekend, I start trying to get caught up with stuff and next thing I know I'm almost caught up, but the weekends over and I'm exhausted! Mostly it's just the usual around here. Mike's started working on the yard and has been working a ton for Kermit, and I've been working out and cleaning (endless tasks!!!!) and trying to get stuff done like dentist visits, Dr. appointments, photo albums, etc. I had my post test for the New Years challenge yesterday, and supposedly I lost 7% body fat, but I don't think she did it right! ;) The good news is our team won! Yay!

Then yesterday morning Mike and I decided we were tired of my car and the lack of space in it, so we went down to Tri State Ford and worked out a deal on a used Trailblazer EXT Lt and I love it!!!! It's so much easier to put Tanner in and out of the car and I love the extra space when we have the third row folded down (Oh, and the fact that we have a third row!!) We got a pretty good deal with our trade in, so I'm happy!

So now supposedly today Mike and I are going to relax, but we'll see!

This and that....

I don't know if anyone has noticed that I'm blogging at 9 AM...well I didn't feel good at all last night, and not great this morning, so I called in sick to work. But the more I wake up the better I feel, but I don't think I should go to work and chance getting anyone sick (especially on such a nice day!) So I thought I could get a bunch of stuff caught up around here, so I'm catching up the blog! Here are a few recent pics I haven't got a chance to post yet.

Busy Weekend!!

This weekend was a little exhausting, but lots of fun and we got a lot done. We started out Friday with me working out while Mike took Tanner to Jim and Bonnie's for a little quality time, and then we both cleaned the houses a little. Then Kermit and Maryann came over and we taught them how to play Hand and Foot, and now Kermit's all about it and gets all into the strategy! Then Saturday, I had a scavenger hunt for the New year's challenge, while Mike went to help Dad pick up the beef we butchered, and now we have plenty of meat (and I think we might just have to BBQ tonight with the beautiful weather!!!). Sometime that morning, Mike mentioned to me the new hole he put in the wall, which it is by far not the first time, especially in the back hall way, since it's so tight, but this one was a biggin'!! I'm guessing it's about 3' by 2', so now sometime we get to replace that piece of sheet rock and paint. In his defense, he did say he got tripped up by the baby gate and started to fall down the stairs, so he took the wall instead....so I'd rather sheet rock, than have him be on crutches AGAIN!

Then Saturday afternoon, we ran to St. Joe for a little shopping and then went to the Hangar to eat that night with all of our Hangar bucks for Kawasaki! Then Sunday we went grocery shopping and then out to my parents for lunch with the fam. It was really good Mom! Tanner was pretty good all weekend, he was a little fussy with his 8th tooth coming in, but all in all, he was a trooper!

Vistors

Chris, Amy and Vance came to visit us the other night since they missed Tanner's birthday party. So the boys got to play together for the first time in a little while, and I have to say they're pretty amusing together! Vance is too cute these days and can get into anything, and it took Tanner a little bit to figure out who this other baby was in the house playing with his toys! By the end of the night, they were sharing sippy cups and having fun together! I can't wait until they can get together when they can both walk and play together outside!

Randomness

Things have been going pretty good around here. Now that Mike can walk a little better and the weather has warmed up, we all seem to be in better spirits!! I've started working out again and I think Tanner's getting over his shy phase, thank goodness! It makes it a lot easier to go to the gym when he doesn't cry when I leave! And now he's over his ear infection again, and he goes to see the Dr. about tubes in mid April, so hopefully those help a lot!

Otherwise, not a lot going on around here...we're mostly enjoying watching Tanner grow up! I swear he learns something new every day, and gets a little more brave!! Yesterday he climbed into his chair, used it to get on to the couch, climbed on to the arm of the couch, and could almost get up on top of the back of the couch!! He can't walk yet, but he can sure climb like a monkey!!!!! Today he stood by himself for quite a while a couple times, so Mike and I are betting he'll be walking in no time! He went to the Dr. today for his one year check up and shots. He was so happy and such a good baby the whole time! They said he weighed 24 lbs. 10 oz, and is 31 inches long, so he's about in the 80th % on everything, which means his growth is starting to level off some. Then came the shots....Wow, was he mad!! They said the MMR tends to burn some, and he let us know it, poor little guy!! Below are some pics that are kinda random, but they crack me up! Enjoy!

Birthday Blog #3

Brian and Brenda didn't get to come up Saturday for the party because of the weather, so they came Sunday afternoon. Tanner, the girls, and the dogs played together for 4 hours straight and by the time they went home, all the boys were wiped out!
