We've almost made it!!!

So I've decided if we can make it through the rest of this week, we'll finally be in the clear. Soooo much has gone on this month, it's ridiculous!! Tomorrow morning Mike goes back to the doctor and hopefully comes home without crutches! Yeah! Keep your fingers crossed!!! That will make a huge difference! And this weekend is Tanner's first birthday and I guess I hadn't really thought about what all goes into planning a birthday with a party!! WOW! But I think I've finally got it all done except a little bit of shopping left (that Mike and Dad get to finish up for me!) and some gift wrapping, which I just realized I haven't even started...Oops!

Besides that, Tanner has yet another double ear infection, that will hopefully be gone by Saturday, and we now have an appointment with a ENT Dr. to talk to him about tubes. That should be fun! Also this month, for those of you that don't know, my brother had an accident at work, and is doing much better now, but he had us worried for a minute there! We went to see him Saturday and he was in pretty good spirits!

Other than that, it's just been the usual, Dr. appointments, dentist appointments (I got my first of two crowns), eye doctors (for the Infant See program), hair appointment, and of course, pictures!! We got them done the other day at Miles and Me in Albany and they turned out pretty good. Now I just need to go through them and choose!

I'll try to post some pics from Tanner's party hopefully this weekend! Hope you all enjoyed the nice weather!

Pretty Good Weekend!

So I'm up at 12:30 and what else is there to do but play on the Internet! So far it's been a pretty great weekend! Friday before I left work, I got a call from the guard shack saying I had a delivery, so I stopped on my way out and I got a dozen of the most beautiful long stemmed roses from Mike! They were all different colors and gorgeous! Thanks Mom for making them, and Dad for delivering them! Then I came home and we all got ready and went to Albany and got Tanner's 1 year pics taken at Miles and Me, and now I can't wait to get them back!! I think Lora did a great job and Tanner was in a very good mood, so I want to see them NOW!! Then we went out to eat at Poppa's and came home.
And today was also a great, but long day. I got up with Tanner about 6:30 and we got back in bed with Mike and snuggled a while. Then we all got up, I cleaned house, fed Tanner and tried to pack for the day, while Mike showered and stuff. Then Abby came and got Tanner and he went with her for the rest of the day while Mike and I went to KC shopping, my favorite! We went to Toys R Us and spent FOREVER in there looking at everything, and by the time we left (like 2 hours later), we had a cart full of presents for Tanner for his B-day. Then we did a little more shopping, and got him a new forward facing car seat. Then we went out to eat at The Yard House (Man, I love that place, it's always sooo good!). And then we stopped in St. Joe for a few things and went back to Abby's and played cards for a while and then headed home. By the time we got home, the dogs had been in their cages for a while, so I'm staying up with them while they eat, and play for a while. So, I already told Mike he gets to get up with Tanner in the morning so I can sleep in! Yeah!!! I think that would pretty much make this weekend complete! Hope you all had a great Valentine's Day too and Happy Birthday Brian, and Jeff D, and Amberlea on Monday!

February is CRAZY!!

So I attempted to take a nap today while Tanner was napping, but all I could do was think of all the stuff that needs to get done this month!! If I can make it to my bitrthday, I will be thrilled!!! Right now, I still need to do most of the planning for Tanner's Birthday: cake, mail invites now that they are done (Thanks Abby!), decorations, and buy presents! So pretty much everything! For those of you coming, mark your calenders for Feb. 28th at 2:00pm at Community of Faith Church. And hopefully by then both Mike and Tanner will be walking! And get Tanner weined off formula, and bottles (I can't wait to not have to wash bottles daily!). And I need to get Tanner's 1 yr pictures taken, if the lady will ever call me back. And get our taxes done. And start getting all of my cavities fixed (and there were alot!). And we're taking pics at the Daddy/ Daughter Dance this Friday. And get the dogs teeth cleaned. And get Tanner's eyes checked for the InfantSee program. And I really need to kick it into high gear on the New Year's Challenge! Mike's accident sidelined me for a little while, but now I have a new goal for this month. Oh, and we have like 4 family B-Days besides Tanner's, and Valentines Day. And at work, we're in the middle of a big project, that will hopefully be over soon, but right now it's kickin' our butts! So, as you can see, February is CRAZY!!! The good news is, when it's over, then it's my 3 favorite holidays!! My birthday, Day-light savings ends, and St. Pats Day all in one week!! Yeah!!

Update

So Mike went back to the Dr. today, and got his staples out (he even took some out himself!). The Dr. said it looked good and to come back in 4 weeks to see if he could start putting some weight on it! Yeah! I can't wait! Hopefully this will all be over soon and or lives can go back to being some what normal! In the meantime, we're getting more used to our routine and we got our Aflac check today and that was REALLY nice!

Curious Tanner

I swear, these days NOTHING is out of Tanner's reach! He can get into almost anything, and does! As I'm typing, he's standing on the fireproof safe, with two toys in his hands trying to get to the wires on my computer! Pretty much everything is baby proofed around here, so that helps, but we still spend a lot of time saying "No, no Tanner!" Here's a few pics of him getting into everything!

This is Tanner in the fridge! It's his favorite right now, since it's like uncharted territory! You can hear him come "running" every time you open the door!

And getting into my cookie sheets!

And getting the into the cabinet, taking out the videos, and getting the wires behind!

Mike's Doing Better!

Mike seems to be doing better now! He went to see the Dr. again Friday and they took off the splint and said everything looked good. Now he gets to wear a moon boot, which he says is sooo much better. He still can't put any weight on it or get it wet until the staples (yes, I said staples!) are removed, but he's says the pain is better. Not great, but better! Below are some pics I took Saturday when I changed his sock. If you don't like gory things, you might not want to look. I don't think it's bad, but some might, so don't say I didn't warn you!
