A Little Catching Up

It's been a little while since I've posted and I think there's a few things we need to catch up on! Most of them are from this weekend! Friday we went and had an ultrasound and found out we are having a little GIRL! I think Mike was a little surprised by this, but he hasn't missed a beat! He's already looking up names, making plans, and doing a lot of talking to Tanner about it. She moved my due date back a few days, but that's OK; otherwise everything looked good! Then we got Tanner, went out to eat, and then took him to Grandma and Grandpa's to stay the night and while Mike and I had an evening to ourselves, we treated ourselves to a movie! Then VERY early Saturday morning we went to Fort Leavenworth garage sales. We found a few good buys and enjoyed the day together looking around the base. It's actually very pretty! Then we headed over to Legends in an attempt to find me some maternity clothes, but we didn't have a lot of success, so I guess I'll be doing some online shopping soon!
Saturday night, I went down to Fillmore to Tonya's house with Abby, since she was having a Cookie Lee show. I had never been to a Cookie Lee show or even heard of one, but I looked at the catalog online, and they had a lot of cute stuff and a pretty good program. For those of you who don't know what Cookie Lee is, it's a jewelery direct sales program similar to Pampered Chef, Pure Romance, Uppercase Living, etc. and it's more affordable than it's competition. Sooo, by the end of the night I decided to bite the bullet and sign up! I've been looking for a way to make a little extra money these days and I'm hoping this works really well for me! So, anyone looking to have a girls night out shopping for jewelery in they're own home, let me know! If you would like to look at the merchandise, go to CookieLee.com.
Other than that, we've been staying busy as usual! Mike's working a lot at Kawasaki and for Kermit, and I'm still trying to workout 3-4 times a week and keep the house going and keep up with Tanner! Also, Mattew and Bailey's wedding got moved up to June 18th, so I'm rushing to plan a shower and Bachelorette party real quick! So, it should be a CRAZY summer for us, but that's OK, I work much better under pressure! Here are a few new random pics of Tanner for those of you who haven't seen him lately!

Tanner's 2nd Birthday!

Sunday, February 28, we celebrated Tanner's 2nd Birthday! I still can't believe we have a 2 year old, but I totally love it! He is so much fun these days! I remember when he was turning one and we were so in awe of his personality coming out and thought it was so much fun, but now I realize that was nothing! These days Tanner does not stop talking!!! He loves to tell you what belongs to who, whether it's his or hers or yours or mine! He asks so many questions, and he loves to watch Dora and answer all of her questions, too! It's really entertaining to watch him use his imagination too! He play cooks, takes care of his baby doll, and does all sorts of stuff with his cars!
Anyway, back to his birthday. We opened some presents at home with him that morning and then had a party planned for that afternoon. I decided to save the tricycle we were going to give him for the party as his 'big' present, but you'll see soon how well that went!

Mike and Tanner putting together Tanner's Little People Garage!

Tanner was so cute in his new shirt, too bad he only wore it for about 15 minutes!

Blowing out the candles!
Dora cake!! Mike didn't love it, but Tanner did and that's all that matters!

Tanner eating his cake with a fork (that he asked for!)

He ate about 3 bites of cake and then went to play! Then he noticed a bike under the table and got it out to play with while everyone ate!
He's not the best at pedaling yet, but Tatum and him worked out a system! She would pedal while he rode, and then he would 'pedal' while she rode (and pushed with her legs from behind)!
Vance and Tanner going to get into the bounce house!
Opening the rest of the presents with some help from the girls!
So, this was what I was talking about with the big present! Mike (with a some help from Uncle Brian) got this Harley truck for Tanner without my knowledge! Needless to say it was a huge hit and all the kids loved it!!!

Cailyn LOVED driving the truck! And Tanner and Vance loved riding!

It's been a while!!

I know, I know, it's been quite a while since I've got on here! Things in January were really crazy and I haven't really had the time or energy to sit down and write anything! So, where to start? In January, Matthew got to come home for 10 days, so that was really nice! Tanner really misses his uncle Matt! Here are a few pics from his home coming.

I don't think either one of them wanted to let go! Tanner got to finally meet his cousin Cooper!
His Uncle Mark got him his first hoodie! Playin' with Uncle Mad!
Then we had Mike's 30th Birthday, so we had a couple dinner's and a couple friends over to hang out and play cards. Then I was getting really tired since I found out we're expecting again! We'll get our new arrival in September!

Tanner's shirt says "I'm the big brother"! Right in there, too, Matt and Bailey got engaged and decided they were getting married in August! Then Matt asked Mike to be the Best Man, Tanner to be the ring bearer, and Bailey asked me to be her Maid of Honor! So now we will have a fun summer full of wedding planning! Finding a dress that fits me might be a challenge when I'll be 3o some weeks along, but we'll make it work!

So I think that's all the big stuff in the last month or so. There have also been a few birthdays, Valentine's day, and making plans for Tanner's 2nd Birthday! Saturday we went to get Tanner's 2 year pics taken. He should be sooo good at getting his picture taken, but when he gets in front of someone he doesn't know he plays shy! We wound up with a couple good ones!

So, now were planning for Tanner's Birthday, a new baby, and a wedding, so I'll try to keep you posted on all the fun news!

Tanner's new Bed!

Mike spent part of the day after Christmas turning Tanner's crib into a toddler bed. I was a little apprehensive about it, but Tanner absolutely Loves it! He played in it off and on through out the day and has done a really good job sleeping in it! He even stays in it when he wakes up until we come get him (which was what I was really worried about!)! Now he goes into his room and says "my bed!", like it hasn't been his all along!
He told me "Mommy! Sit!". He was so excited Mommy could sit in bed with him! Then we let Memphis get into bed with him too and he really liked that!

Christmas Day

Christmas day was lots of fun too! We got up early to see what all Santa brought us! Here's Mike and Tanner going through Tanner's stocking!
And look at all those presents!
Then Tanner took a short nap and then we got ready to go to Mike's parent's house! Thank God for 4 wheel drive vehicles! We used the Trailblazer to help get everyone there and then the truck to get everyone home! Here's Tanner posing for a quick picture!
And wearing the "santa's little helper" hat!
Tanner "handing" (more like throwing) everyone their gifts!

Christmas Eve/ Meyer Christmas

Christmas Eve was a lot of fun for our family this year! We woke up early and had a good breakfast, hung out for a little bit, and spent some time getting ready for Christmas day! Below is a pic of Tanner helping me a couple days before Christmas make some goodies for work. He always has to help as much as we'll let him!
I got a new book for Tanner for Christmas, it's "Twas the Night before Christmas" book. Mike read it to him, and then I had to, too, and then Mike again! He just loved it!
Then Tanner and I made some cookies for Santa. It's been a long time since I've made sugar cookies, so it took me a little bit to get the hang of it again, but we had lots of fun making them!

He loved playing with the cookie cutters and the dough!

Cheese!! If you look closely at the bottom left corner, those are Tanner's cookies! Every time I put a cookie on the cookie sheet he would grab some dough and put it on there too!

Then Tanner took a little nap and then we headed out to my Mom and Dad's place, which was an adventure in itself. It had just started sleeting and getting really cold, so the roads weren't great, but we wound up making it there. We had to detour a little bit, and take the gravel to get there so we had a little more traction, but the truck got us there safe and sound!
Here's Tanner and some of his cousin's opening presents!
Tanner playing farm with Uncle Brian!
Tanner got into Josie's makeup she got from Grandma and Grandpa! He did a surprisingly good job putting it on, but he does have a lot of girl cousins that like to play dress up with him!
It wasn't too bad getting back home that night. We left a little while after it started snowing, so we had the snow for traction on the way home. The wind and the snow made it kind of hard to see, but we took it slow and got home just fine!
Here's Tanner in his Christmas PJ's!

Jensen Christmas

This year was Mom's turn to take care of the Jensen Christmas Dinner, so of course us girls helped out too as much as we could. It really can be a big undertaking since there are over a hundred of us now, so that's a lot of food, tables, and decorations! Since there are ten kids, and they have a rotation going, each one only has to do it once every ten years, so that helps, but it's kind of a shock when your turn comes back around! I think a good time was had by all, and there was plenty of good food and fun times! Here are a few of the pics we took:
Cailyn, Sydni, Lexi, and Tanner playing in the corner!
A picture of the group! We had a final count of 95 people!
