Even more randomness

So lots of stuff has been going on around here! It's been a little crazy both at home and at work for me, but it's still been pretty fun! This last weekend , Abby, Tim, Mike, and I went on a float trip with about 15 other couples, and it was a bunch of fun! We went down Friday morning, got there around noon, and set up camp. Then we headed down to hang out in the river for the rest of the afternoon, and that's the part I love the most. If it were up to me, that's what we would do all weekend, but everyone else likes to float, so I go float, and this year was pretty fun! We hooked all 17 canoes together and had our own party barge. All in all, it was a good time and then we came back on Sunday. When we got back to Maryville, we unpacked real quick, showered, and headed to Stanberry for the church carnival. It's normally not something I wouldn't take the time to go to, but my grandpa Jensen made a swing YEARS ago, and I remember riding it at the farm when I was little. Now the family doesn't get as much use out of it, but it goes to the carnival every year for the kids to ride and I had to get a picture of Tanner riding the swing his great-grandpa made! Here are a few pics from the weekend!

Mike and I right before the float!

Tanner on Grandpa's swing! Yes, the seats are milk crates and the seat belt is a bungee cord, but it works!

Daddy and Tanner fishin'. Other than the jam packed weekends, things have been the usual craziness. Mike's still working hard, hanging out with the fam, and I've been trying to get to the gym 3 to 5 days a week. Lately, I've been trying to get in some reading like I used to, but it's pretty hard to find the time! Next month Mike's brother, Matthew, is going to start basic training for the Marines, so we're trying to spend some time with him before he goes. But other than that, we're just trying to find family time together whenever we can! Our little man is so much fun, and we love getting to hang out with him!

More Randomness

I love taking random pictures of Tanner growing up and just the funny little side of him that we get to see every night that a lot of people don't. Also, I don't want to forget a single thing about his childhood! Therefore, the worry wart in me makes me add info on this blog, and Facebook, and in a journal, and in photo albums, and on CDs (in the fireproof safe), and a lot of them are still on my camera! So, a lot of the things I add to this blog are partly for my friends and family to keep them updated, and partly because I found out I can have my blog turned into a book, so I would have yet another copy (and it's out there on the web in case my computer crashes!)!

Sometimes Tanner seems like such a big boy, but every once in a while the baby in him comes back out, and I think it did in this pic! He just looks so little!
Here he's cold from playing in the sprinkler and then coming into our FREEZING house, so he's snuggling with Daddy!

Where to start?!

Oh, where to start?! Last weekend was so much fun and super crazy! We went up to the fair Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights and had a blast! Thursday we went up with the intentions of getting a funnel cake and coming home, but then we ran into Abby, Tim, and the girls and started riding some rides. Tanner rode a few rides with Cailyn and Josie and absolutely loved it!! Then Friday night we went up to ride some more rides and have supper and had a ton of fun watching Tanner enjoy the rides. Then Matthew and Bailey wanted to take Tanner, so Mike and I went to the beer garden for a little while and got to hang out with some friends. Then Saturday, we hadn't planned on going up again, but then Mike decided he wanted to go to see the car show, so we grabbed the dogs and walked up there again. It's always fun to go the fair and get to see some friends we don't get to see very often.

Next came Sunday, when Abby and I took the kids to the circus in St. Joe with Stephanie and her kids. I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was and it was totally worth my $10!!! Here are some pics from our weekend!

Mr. and Mrs. Davis

Saturday morning was Madison (Mike's younger brother) and Lindsey's wedding. Friday night we went to his Mom and Dad's for supper and then picked up the chairs for the wedding. Then Saturday, we went to Mozingo for the wedding, and it was the perfect day for it! It was a beautiful ceremony and Madison and Lindsey looked sooo much in love, which made it even more special and beautiful! Tanner was the Ring Bearer with the flower girl, Gracie. Both were pulled down the aisle by Lindsey's brother Tom and both did a great job!
Once everything was cleaned up, we were all wiped out, so Mike, Tanner, and I all went home, had lunch, and a nice nap. Then Tanner went to spend the afternoon with Mike's parents, so Mike and I cleaned the house, and got to hang out some in peace and quite! So, all in all, it was a great day!

Our Fur Babies update!

I haven't got to post about the boys lately, so here we go. Roscoe and Memphis are doing good! They really love the weather lately and getting to go for walks and play outside! They are doing good playing with Tanner, especially Memphis! Now Tanner knows them by their names and can say Roscoe, and gives them their treats when they go to their cages! Here's some pics I've taken of them lately.

Sydni and Lexi's Birthday Party!

Last Saturday we had a family Birthday party for Sydni and Lexi out at Mom and Dad's. They brought out a bounce house for the kids and even had a silly string fight that was tons of fun! It was a long, exhausting day, but it was totally worth it! All the kids had fun!
